How it works
From Your Sizes to Frames on Site
1. Send what you have
Measurements, architect's drawings, plans, a window schedule, a spreadsheet or a photo of a handwritten list.
2. We check and query
We read it properly, ask about anything missing or that looks wrong, and help you settle the specification.
3. You get a supply-only quotation
Priced product by product, with the lead time for your specification confirmed rather than assumed.
4. Approve and order
Nothing is ordered until you have approved the specification. Supplier acknowledgements are checked against it.
5. Collect or take delivery
Frames are supplied ready for your installer to fit, on a date that suits your programme.

What we need from you
The Information That Makes a Quote Accurate
Send what you can. Anything missing, we will ask about — but the more of this you have, the faster and firmer the price.
- Sizes for each opening, in millimetres, with the tightest measurement noted
- Frame style — casement, flush casement, tilt and turn, or something else
- Frame colour inside and out
- Glazing requirements, including any obscure or safety glass
- Cill type and projection, or confirmation that no cill is needed
- Trickle vent requirements and their position
- Handle colour and any extras on the frame
- Anything unusual — arched heads, bay work, awkward access
Order size
One Window or a Full Project
There is no minimum order and no requirement to be a registered trade business.
A single replacement window for a bathroom is a perfectly normal order. So is a full set of frames for a new extension, or a complete window package for a self-build.
Builders ordering for their own fitting teams, self-builders running a plot and homeowners project-managing an extension all buy the same way.
Need Help Measuring?
Our step-by-step guide covers measuring width in four places and height in three, taking the tightest measurement, deducting 10mm, choosing a cill and completing the specification checklist. If it feels like too much, a paid WGS survey is available — an experienced surveyor visits, measures and confirms the details on site.

Fitting and certification
Supply-only products are provided for installation by the customer's chosen installer. Installation certification and FENSA registration, where required, remain the responsibility of the installer.
FAQs
The Questions Builders and Self-Builders Ask
- Can I order just one window?
- Yes. There is no minimum order value and no trade account required. A single window is quoted exactly like a full set.
- Can I order a full house or extension?
- Yes. Full houses, extensions and small developments are all normal orders, and larger schedules get the same order checking before manufacture.
- Can I send plans or drawings instead of a full window schedule?
- Yes. Plans, elevations, sketches or photos are fine. You do not need to produce a formal schedule to get a price.
- Can WGS help with specification?
- That is a large part of what we do. We will talk through frame style, glazing, cills, vents and colours, and flag anything that looks wrong before it is ordered.
- Can WGS measure for me?
- For a fee, an experienced WGS surveyor can visit, measure the openings and confirm the details on site. Otherwise you measure and we work from your sizes.
- Who is responsible for fitting?
- Your chosen installer. WGS Trade Supply is supply-only and does not install.
- Who is responsible for FENSA or certification?
- Installation certification such as FENSA, where it is required, remains the responsibility of the installer who fits the products. WGS does not provide installation certification for supply-only products.
- What information do you need to quote?
- Sizes, style, colour, glazing and cill details — the full list is above, and the measuring guide walks through each one.
- How quickly can selected windows be supplied?
- Selected window specifications can be supplied from as little as 5 working days. This does not apply to every window, and your lead time is confirmed at quotation.
- Can I collect or have them delivered?
- Either. Collect from us in Hull, or arrange delivery to your site. Delivery is confirmed with the quotation.
